Note: To scan from a macOS computer, install the Smart app.
Easy Start software will run on Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 only. If needed, update your operating system to automatically get Service Pack 1. Values that updated operating systems offer our users increased security and privacy protection.

Remove all packaging tape and packing materials. Place the printer on a flat, stable surface with clearance on all sides for ventilation.
Open the cartridge access door. Insert each cartridge into its corresponding slot until it clicks. Close the door when finished.
Pull out the paper input tray, load plain white paper, adjust the paper guides, and push the tray back until it locks.
Connect the power cord and press the Power button. Wait for the printer to fully initialize before proceeding.
For wireless: Navigate to Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard on the control panel and follow the prompts.
For USB: Connect the supplied USB cable between the printer and your computer.
Use the search box on this page to enter your printer model. Download and install the recommended software and drivers.
From your computer, send a test print to confirm everything is working. Your printer is ready!
